These dedicated individuals are busily planning
for a successful school year and are anxious to meet and get to
know your children as they take this important step forward in their
early childhood development. Please encourage them and support them
as they take on this job which they love – working with our children!
Mrs. Jennings is in her 12th year (started 1996) with our school.
In addition to her role as Assistant Teacher, she is also our preschool
Director and lead PM. Mrs. Jennings maintains formal “office hours”
for Director-tasks and responsibilities and for handling questions
or concerns you may have during those times, which are Tuesday/Thursday
mornings and Friday afternoons. Anyone who knows Beverly knows that
she enjoys antiquing and gardening, which occupy many of her weekends
during the summer, and she is quite proud of her three granddaughters.
Beverly believes that it is absolutely essential for you to know
that she adores children and preschool is a great place for children
to embrace the concept of formal education in a fun, non-threatening,
and engaging atmosphere.
Miss Mary is returning to our preschool for her 8th consecutive
year as a teacher. A native New Yorker, Miss Mary, her husband John
and children, Joseph (15) and Amanda (11), have been living in Bloomington
for nine years. She became involved in the preschool when Amanda
attended in 1999. Miss Mary is a big supporter of the cooperative
learning environment. She adapts her curriculum to engage each child
that walks through the door. She provides the children with a fun
learning environment in which they can increase language skills
and develop socially, physically and cognitively.
