Each classroom has the following areas:
- Art Area: where paint, easels, paper, scissors, glue, markers,
crayons, etc… are available
- Water or Sand Table: for measuring, making predictions, etc…
- Dramatic Play Area: this area changes frequently throughout
the school year; it may be a housekeeping area, post office, grocery
store, flower shop, etc…
- Puppet Theater
- Computer Station: Two computers with educational software
- Quiet Area: for books and puzzles
- Math Area: number games, sorting activities, patterning, geometric
shapes, etc…
- Science Area: magnets, magnifying glasses, found objects from
nature, plants, etc…
- Block Building Area: variety of building blocks, toy cars and
animals, etc…
- Safe Place: This is place where a student may go on his or
her own to regroup using calming techniques practiced in the classroom.
